FAQ
I’ve never been to an in-person service at KingsGate before, what should I expect?
We can’t wait to welcome you this Easter! The first thing to know is that you can come as you are – there’s no need to wear anything special if you don’t want to and you don’t need to bring anything specific with you.
We recommend aiming to arrive 15 minutes before the published service start time as this will allow you some time to get into the building, orient yourself, enjoy a warm welcome from our team, check in children upon arrival if necessary, and find your seat before the service begins. Speaking of finding your seat, some seats may be reserved for some of our teams, but other than those you’re welcome to sit anywhere you like and wherever you’ll feel most comfortable.
The service will involve contemporary worship music, a creative presentation of the Easter story, and a message to help us understand how the Easter story relates to our lives today. We believe God loves to meet with us during our services and people often describe our services as very moving, but whether you feel anything or not, we hope you’ll really enjoy your time with us and that you’ll stay around afterwards to meet some of our team in the Welcome Lounge – they love getting to meet people who are new to KingsGate, so be sure to go and say hi to them!
If you want more of an idea about what services at KingsGate are like before you come along, why not check out our Facebook or Instagram, or you can watch back last year’s Easter Celebration Service on YouTube.
Are in-person services fully accessible?
We welcome anyone with accessibility requirements and will endeavour to accommodate any needs you may have. If you are a Blue Badge Holder, please let our team know when you arrive so we can ensure you have accessible parking.
