Inclusion
Here at KingsGate we are committed to creating an environment where people of every race and culture have the opportunity to thrive and grow.
That has been the culture of the church since it began more than 30 years ago.
In more recent years, we have taken additional steps and begun rolling out a comprehensive training course to promote and support deeper levels of inclusion and integration across the life of KingsGate.
Throughout the year, we take time to celebrate the different heritages and cultures reflected within our church family, and every October we celebrate Black History Month.
Central to all of this is our Advisory Council on Multiracial Inclusion (ACMI).
Advisory Council for Multiracial Inclusion
The council has two broad objectives: firstly, to advise the Senior Leadership Team on matters of racial inclusion, and secondly, to provide a place where people can report any concerns they have related to racism or racial bias.
Eight different national heritages are now represented on the ACMI, which has been key in the ongoing development of strategic plans in this area.
The council is scheduled to meet four times a year under the leadership of Samson Abioye and you can read more about the council’s progress below.
Let us know if you would like to raise a concern or bring something to the attention of the Advisory Council.

Once a year we hold a Multiracial Learning Community event – a forum to share feedback, review progress, and capture new ways of furthering our journey of inclusion and diversity more broadly.
